๐Ÿ“œ Legend

Deep in the forest, a hut turns on giant chicken legs, surrounded by a fence of bones topped with glowing skulls. Inside lives Baba Yaga, a bony old witch who flies in a mortar, steers with a pestle and sweeps away her tracks with a broom. She's unpredictable: she might eat you, or, if you're brave and polite, she might help you. In the tale of Vasilisa the Beautiful, collected by Alexander Afanasyev in the 1850s and 60s, she sends the heroine home with a burning skull lantern.
